This past Valentines Day/President’s Day weekend, my hubby and I got together with Celena and Luke, and we had a couples getaway in Fredericksburg, TX! I have to say, and I think I speak for all four of us, that we needed it! Our babies stayed with their grandparents, GG and Pops, and we had a fun weekend at AB Butler’s Dogtrot, which is a little duplex/log cabin located about 5 miles from downtown Fredericksburg. What you won’t see in these pictures are the funtivities that took place in-town, which consisted of walking around from store to store, restaurant to restaurant, festivus-ing, etc. I left my camera at the cabin for all that.
However, before we would go out for the day, I did manage to take some fun pictures in the mornings. Our first morning there, I had some down time while everyone else was getting ready, and I walked across the street to take pictures of a herd of Angus Cattle I happened to see grazing. What I didn’t expect was for about 10 cows to come right up to me out of curiosity-which was absolutely crazy for me. I love animals. Anyway, for those wondering why so many cow pictures graced this post, that is why.
The whole trip was so much fun that I would recommend Fredericksburg to anyone in Texas wanting a quick trip out of town. Take a look:
